Cactus Margaritas™, Cactus Daiquiris™ and Cactus Sour™ Mixes are actually made from the Prickly Pear Cactus. This is the only margarita made from genuine cactus juice. These mixers differ from all the others because the main ingredient is cactus juice from the fruit of the wicked prickly pear cactus (called tunas in Spanish). One taste will give you a new slant on enjoying prickly pear cactus.

Cactus Daiquiri™ Mix

The original daiquiri was discovered by noted author Ernest Hemingway in his travels to Cuba who then brought it to America. Today, Americans drink daiquiris made of strawberries, pineapples, peaches and now prickly pear cactus. The daiquiri is made from the fruit of the prickly pear cactus called tunas (in Spanish) or cactus pear apples (in English).

Cactus Daiquiri™ Ingredients:

High Fructose Corn Syrup, Water, Cactus Puree (prickly pear cactus, sugar, malic and absorbic acid), Lime Juice, Citric Acid.

The prickly pear cactus grows in the Southwest and Mexico along the side of the roads and is planted in decorative native plant gardens. The prickly pear fruit normally ripens and is ready for harvest during the late summer and early fall months. The flavor of prickly pears has been compared to kiwi, but not as acidic.
